On July 1, 2026, the Center for AI Safety (CAIS) published an update to the Remote Labor Index (RLI), showing that the best tested system's success rate on a selected set of economically valuable online freelance projects rose from 2.5% (October 2025) to 15.8% (July 2026) — more than a sixfold increase in under eight months.
